The purpose of Christian Homeschoolers of Hawaii (CHOH) is to share information regarding homeschooling from a Christ-centered perspective and provide support for homeschooling families.
Website: Big Island Homeschoolers
For homeschoolers on the Big Island of Hawaii to have a place to meet, share ideas, ask questions, offer support, make friends, plan field trips or get-togethers. Help us create a network of support for each other and for others who may be considering homeschool as an option for their family. Feel free to post notices about events, homeschool friendly businesses, great places to go on the Big Island, great web sites you have found and whatever else might be pertinent to other homeschooling families. Please be respectful and kind in your conversation. All of us have different methods and beliefs but all share the same interest in homeschooling and a desire to do the best for our children so please take what you can use, share what works for you and let the other stuff go. Enjoy this group!
The Hawai'i Island Homeschool Network (HIHN) is a grassroots movement to build a stronger network of homeschool families on Hawai'i Island. We are a group of homeschooling families on the Big Island of Hawaii who support each other in our homeschooling efforts. As a diverse and inclusive group, we have various philosophies when it comes to teaching our children. This network serves as a resources to provide information and opportunities no matter what your homeschool style or knowledge may be.
Website: Christian Home Educators of Kona
This is the online e-group for Christian Home Educators in Kona and surrounding area on the Big Island of Hawaii. This is a Christian group though you do not have to be a Christian to belong but you have to be respectful of others beliefs. This list was established so we could stay connected with prayer requests, encouragement and sharing announcements and events connected with homeschooling and Christian lifestyle. The purpose of CHEK is to provide information, inspiration and support to families who exercise their God given right and responsibility to educate their children.
Website: Lighthouse HICHE
The Lighthouse HICHE is a diverse group of Christian families who in one form or another school our children at home, in East Hawaii on the Big Island. We have had very active years and not so active years, but have consistently supported one another and have participated in Newbery Bowl and robotics competitions as a homeschool team in the most recent years. Please feel free to share information and ideas as we continue to grow through a mutual support to home school our children. In February, 2016 we have just cleaned up membership tot hose families who actively home school. So please feel free to share information, inspiration and materials for homeschooling.
Website: Oahu Homeschool Mom
My goal here is to share what [little] I know about the world of homeschooling...providing a comprehensive place to find information, resources, support, curriculum and product reviews, and ideas for homeschooling in Hawaii - more specifically and mostly on the island of Oahu.
Website: Hawaii Homeschool Association
Hawai'i Homeschool Association, HHA, is an inclusive support group of homeschooling families for Oahu. We are a diverse group of families with different backgrounds and many different approaches to homeschooling.
Website: Living Water HS
Living Water is a homeschool cooperative that provides a Christ-centered environment to support parent-directed education. Our organization meets one day per week, with classes ranging from Nursery to High School. Our focus is primarily school-aged children in Kindergarten and higher, however, we provide nursery, toddler and preschool classes for younger children. Each class is led by the parents themselves and offers numerous extra-curricular activities to help children grow throughout the year.
The Hawai’i Homeschool Association is organized to enable its members to share homeschooling ideas and experiences and to disseminate information relevant to homeschoolers on Oahu. HHA itself does not organize or sponsor any classes, events, field trips, etc., but HHA members are encouraged to organize such activities and share them with other members of the group through the HHA website and bulletin board in order to provide educational opportunities for our children and opportunities for members to share their homeschooling experiences, participate in group activities, and socialize with one another.
